PANAMA'S FIRST LADY TO BE HONORED BY SOUTH FLORIDA HISPANIC CHAMBER BOARD
300 People attended including several ambassadors and other elected officials
The First Lady of Panama, Mrs. Marta Linares de Martinelli, will be honored by the Board of Directors of the South Florida Hispanic Chamber of Commerce during its 16th annual Installation Luncheon to take place on Friday, June 4, 2010, at the Marriott Hotel located at 1201 N.W. LeJeune Road in Miami. There will be a private VIP reception for SFLHCC Board members, elected officials and the media at 11:00 a.m. The lunch will follow at noon.
According to SFLHCC President, Liliam M. Lopez, "The First Lady of Panama will receive the chamber's "2010 Women of Leadership Award"in recognition of the leadership role she has taken as the founder of the Ricardo Martinelli Foundation, a non-profit organization she founded with her husband, the President of Panama, for the purpose of providing financial resources to underprivileged children." Mrs. Martinelli is a firm believer of promoting equal education, health and education to all Panamanians.
Miami-Dade County Mayor Carlos Alvarez is scheduled to speak at this luncheon in honor of the First Lady of Panama. The cost for attending the lunch is $65.00 for members and $80.00 for non-members. Reservations must be made before June 1, 2010, by calling (305) 534-1903.
