PRESS RELEASE SOUTH FLORIDA HISPANIC CHAMBER TO HONOR AFRICAN-AMERICAN LEADERS IN CELEBRATION OF BLACK HISTORY MONTH

Miami, FL  - In celebration of Black History Month, the South Florida Hispanic Chamber of Commerce (SFLHCC) will be presenting its second annual “Black History Month Celebration and Awards Presentation.”    The reception will take place on Thursday, February 12, 2009, beginning at 5:30 p.m. at the TD Bank South Beach branch located at 500 Collins Avenue in Miami Beach. 

The 2009 honorees are:  Sophia Galvin, Macy’s Director of Diversity, Marc Henderson, Media Relations Manager,  Security Operations and Communications Division, Miami‐Dade Aviation Department   and Beatrice Louissaint, President/CEO, Minority Regional Business Council .   They will each receive the “SFLHCC’s Outstanding Leadership Award.  The Mayor of Miami Beach, the Honorable Matti Herrera Bower, will also present these leaders with Certificates of Appreciation from the City of Miami Beach.
