Armando Trabanco

Armando Trabanco is an experienced banking professional with over three decades of expertise in branch management, small business lending, marketing, and business development. As the SE Florida Regional Retail Sales Manager at Synovus Bank, a position he has held since January 2017, Armando oversees the efficiency, growth, and profitability of banking centers across Miami-Dade County. His leadership is reflected in his proven ability to penetrate markets, develop talent, and drive overall growth for the organization.

Before joining Synovus, Armando held several senior leadership roles, including Senior Vice President and Head of Branch Banking at Banesco USA, where he led branch operations and implemented strategies to enhance customer service and market presence. His tenure also includes time as Director of Business Development for Year Up, where he connected local corporations with diverse, high-quality entry-level talent. Additionally, he spent over two decades at SunTrust Bank, where he managed 41 retail branches across Miami-Dade and Broward Counties, consistently driving market expansion and profitability.

Fluent in both English and Spanish, Armando is deeply involved in the South Florida community. He has served as Chair of the South Florida Hispanic Chamber of Commerce and the Hispanic Scholarship Fund, as well as a board member for the South Beach Preservation Board and Step Up For Students. He continues to contribute as a board member of the South Florida Hispanic Chamber of Commerce and a committee member of the Greater Miami Chamber of Commerce Education Committee.

With his exceptional understanding of the South Florida market and its diverse communities, Armando remains a key influencer in the region’s financial and business sectors.
