Duany Ruiz is an experienced banking executive with over 25 years in the financial services industry. Currently, Duany serves as Senior Director and Middle Market Leader at Synovus, a role he has held since October 2023. In this position, he oversees middle market banking operations across South Florida, leveraging his extensive expertise to drive growth and client relationships for the bank.

Before joining Synovus, Duany spent over 13 years at Wells Fargo, where he held multiple senior leadership roles. As Senior Vice President and Commercial Banking Leader for Middle Market Banking, he led teams across Miami and South West Florida, focusing on business development and relationship management with mid-sized companies. Prior to that, he served as Vice President and Business Banking Manager, providing tailored financial solutions to businesses across Miami-Dade and Monroe counties.

Duany’s banking career began at SunTrust Bank, where he spent nearly 13 years as a Senior Vice President. His tenure at SunTrust solidified his leadership skills and deep understanding of middle market banking.
