Alex Herrera serves as the Assistant Vice President of Philanthropy at St. Thomas University, where he leads strategic fundraising initiatives to support student success and institutional growth. With over 17 years of experience in higher education, career services, and corporate relations, Alex has developed a strong background in career development, employer relations, and philanthropy.

Before joining St. Thomas University, he held leadership roles at Barry University, including Director of Development and Corporate Relations, where he fostered partnerships with corporate stakeholders to enhance university advancement. As Manager of the Career Development Center, he guided students and alumni in career exploration, job search strategies, and professional development while implementing initiatives focused on diversity and inclusion.
