Lenya Suarez Rojo was named Executive Vice President, leading the Retail & Business Banking segment in April 2022.
In her role she will oversee all aspects of Amerant’s retail and small business banking across Florida footprint. Including the development and execution of the Bank’s retail and business growth strategy.


Prior to joining Amerant, Lenya was First Vice President, Sales Effectiveness Manager at City National Bank. A banking veteran of over 19 years of experience managing retail locations and leading sales teams. Her experience is diverse, having led multiple teams and managed initiatives in brand management, advertising, media, customer marketing, eCommerce and more.
Lenya Suarez Rojo earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration from the University of Florida in Gainesville, where she also received her Florida Bankers Association Certification. In 2021, Suarez Rojo attended and completed The Wharton School’s Women’s Executive Leadership Program.
