SFLHCC President Liliam M. Lopez had a memorable evening at Camp Mahachee for "Campfires to Cocktails," hosted by the Girl Scouts. The event featured exciting activities like archery, axe-throwing, and glamping by the fire. We're proud to support the Girl Scouts in fostering courage, confidence, and character in young women, inspiring them to become future leaders who make the world a better place!

Easterseals 34th Annual Festival of Chefs


The South Florida Hispanic Chamber of Commerce (SFLHCC) had the privilege of attending the 34th Annual Festival of Chefs hosted by Easterseals South Florida. This remarkable event brought together over 500 food, wine, and spirits enthusiasts, culinary experts, and prominent media figures. A celebration of cooking and creativity, the festival showcased exquisite dishes and innovative culinary techniques, leaving attendees with unforgettable experiences. It was a night of elegance and indulgence that highlighted the vibrant culinary scene in South Florida.




 

Senator Marco Rubio Nominated for Secretary of State


Florida Senator Marco Rubio is considered a leading candidate for Secretary of State in the upcoming administration. Known for his extensive experience in international affairs and strong bipartisan connections, Rubio's nomination has garnered significant support. Advocates highlight his dedication to global democracy and human rights, qualities deemed essential for this critical role. If confirmed, Rubio will be instrumental in shaping U.S. foreign policy during a pivotal period on the world stage.


 

SFLHCC President Liliam M. Lopez Meets Latin Grammy Legend, Carlos Vives


Liliam M. Lopez, President of the South Florida Hispanic Chamber of Commerce, met Colombian singer Carlos Vives, known for his blend of traditional Colombian and contemporary music, and holder of 18 Latin Grammy Awards, including "Best Cumbia/Vallenato Album" in 2023. Lily expressed appreciation, inspired by Vives' cultural impact and global recognition of Latin American heritage. Thank you to SFLHCC Board Member Claudia Puig, who facilitated the meeting.

Dan served a decade as City Attorney in various municipalities, including North Miami Beach and Doral. He handled diverse legal matters such as intergovernmental agreements and land development projects. Dan was also an elected official in Miami Springs and participated in various legislative committees. He earned several accolades, including being named a Top 40 under 40 Lawyer. Dan now works at CREI Holdings as a Miami-Dade County School Board Member.
