SFLHCC Hosts Successful Luncheon on Breakthroughs in Medical Weight Loss
The South Florida Hispanic Chamber of Commerce (SFLHCC) recently hosted a well-attended General Membership Luncheon at Perry’s Steakhouse & Grille in Coral Gables, generously sponsored by HCA Florida Mercy Hospital, HCA Florida Healthcare. The event featured Dr. Nestor de la Cruz-Muñoz of HCA Florida Mercy Hospital, HCA Florida Healthcare, and Medical Director of HCA Florida Weight Management and Metabolic Wellness, who provided expert insights into GLP therapies, new advances in medical weight loss, and effective strategies for long-term health. Attendees enjoyed networking opportunities and engaging discussions on the latest wellness treatments and SFLHCC initiatives. Thank you to everyone who attended.

![]() | On February 6th, SFLHCC President Liliam M. Lopez had the distinguished honor of attending the FIU President’s Council Reception, where a significant moment in Florida history took place. Florida Governor Ron DeSantis was on hand at the Ronald W. Reagan Presidential House to unveil a stunning seven-foot-tall bronze statue of former U.S. President Ronald Reagan. This commemorative event brought together university leadership, local dignitaries, and community stakeholders to celebrate the enduring legacy of President Reagan and FIU’s commitment to civic engagement. SFLHCC extends its congratulations to Florida International University for this historic addition to the campus. |
