Congratulations to the 30th Annual Sunshine Award Recipients
The South Florida Hispanic Chamber of Commerce recently celebrated its 30th Annual Sunshine Awards at the Biltmore Hotel. The event opened with a keynote speech by Kurt Kelly, Co-Lead of the Sunshine Unity Network, and featured a special appearance by Florida's Lieutenant Governor, Jeanette M. Nunez. The awards celebrate outstanding achievements within the business community, highlighting the contributions of individuals and organizations fostering growth in South Florida. This year, 20 remarkable recipients were recognized, including Hotwire Communications, Florida Blue, Nicklaus Children's Health System, Reworld, and the Ronald McDonald House Charities of South Florida.
Also honored by the chamber and Sunshine Unity Network were Mayor Steve Bovo, Commissioner Roberto Gonzalez, Lieutenant Governor Jeanette Nunez, and Senator Shervin Jones. Special recognition went to Amanda Rubio, US Senator Marco Rubio’s daughter, who received an award on his behalf. The SFLHCC acknowledges the role of sponsors and attendees in the event's success, emphasizing the importance of celebrating leadership and innovation in shaping South Florida's future.

Armando Trabanco is a seasoned banking expert with over 30 years in branch management, business lending, and development. As the South East Florida Regional Retail Sales Manager at Synovus Bank since 2017, he enhances efficiency and growth in Miami-Dade's banking centers. Previously, he held leadership roles at Banesco USA and SunTrust Bank, focusing on branch operations and market expansion. Community-involved, he chairs and serves on boards like the South Florida Hispanic Chamber of Commerce. Armando is a significant influencer in South Florida's finance and business arenas.

A"Business Minute with Lily Lopez"
CHAMBER MEMBER SPOTLIGHT

BLUE Missions is a non-profit organization that empowers youth to advocate for a world where there is water for all, forever. Through service projects and sustainability education, BLUE connects families in Latin America to clean, fresh water and inspires young people to lead the way to a water-secure future. Since 2010, over 5,729 volunteers have traveled with BLUE Missions, completing 275 projects benefiting 49,182 individuals.
