The South Florida Hispanic Chamber of Commerce (SFLHCC) celebrated its 29th Annual Hispanic Leadership Awards. This prestigious event honors individuals who have significantly impacted their communities and gathers leaders and supporters to celebrate achievements across various sectors. Through compelling stories and messages, the video highlighted the resilience and leadership of women within the community, aiming to inspire and encourage others to forge their paths. It served as a powerful reminder of the enduring impact of women's achievements and the importance of supporting one another in the journey toward equality and success.

Navigating the Impact of Proposed Credit Mandates: Insights from Industry Leaders




The SFLHCC recently hosted an exclusive lunch and learn event in collaboration with the Small Business Payments Alliance, focusing on the theme, "Proposed Credit Mandates: A Threat to Your Business and Our Economy." This event aimed to spark insightful discussions on the often-overlooked aspects of the proposed Credit Card Competition Act (CCCA). The panel featured esteemed speakers: Congressman Carlos Gimenez, Richard Hunt from the Electronic Payments Coalition, Indraneel Chakraborty from the University of Miami, and Michelle Febres from the National Marketing Group. Liliam M. Lopez expertly moderated the session. Thank you to everyone who attended and gained insight.

Henry Gabriel Cisneros is a notable American politician and businessman who significantly contributed to public service. He served as the mayor of San Antonio, Texas, from 1981 to 1989, where he became the second Latino mayor of a major American City. He also served as the 10th Secretary of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) from 1993 to 1997. The SFLHCC was honored to present him with the Golden Eagle Award at the SFLHCC Installation 1998.
