Lopez Honored at Passport to Calle Ocho Hosted by Breakthrough T1DThe South Florida Hispanic Chamber of Commerce (SFLHCC) is thrilled to announce that its President, Liliam M. Lopez, was recently honored at the "Passport to Calle Ocho" event, hosted by Breakthrough T1D, formerly known as JDRF, the leading global organization funding type 1 diabetes research. The celebratory event occurred on June 5th, gathering community leaders, advocates, and supporters at Ball & Chain in the heart of Miami's historic Little Havana. Passport to Calle Ocho is an annual fundraiser that highlights Miami's diverse culture and vibrant spirit while raising critical funds and awareness for type 1 diabetes research and advocacy. Liliam M. Lopez was recognized for her longstanding commitment to public service and dedication to supporting families and communities affected by type 1 diabetes. Through her leadership at SFLHCC and various philanthropic efforts, Ms. Lopez has passionately advocated for health causes and Hispanic businesses in South Florida.
